Exciting routes and distances from 15 to 72 miles
Ride North Norfolk has a selection of sociable, leisure cycle rides starting from the picturesque North Norfolk market town of Fakenham and going through some of the best gentle cycling routes in the country.
Now in our 8th year we have kept prices the same. It is a friendly local ride that will end an exciting week of activities in and around the town. It is a registered British Cycling Sportives. To keep the character of the ride we are limiting this year’s entries to around 500. See the British Cycling website for more information or to sign up.
This is a cycle ride and a day out that caters for most abilities. If you can ride a bicycle, you should be able to take part. The countryside has gentle slopes and no big hills. Everyone is welcome to come and ride with us. Register now to be part of this exhilarating day.

Choose from our great routes of approximate lengths:
15 miles, 25 miles or 36 miles, 51 miles, 72 miles
Prices and approximate distances – we have held our prices for the 4th year

Please note that for 2021 we will not be running the 102 or 66 mile routes.
Also note that the 72 mile route is two circuits of the 36 miles.

Registration on the day from 8.00 am
Depart between 8.00 am and 11.00
72-mile riders: We will be opening registration for riders doing the 72-mile route at 7.30 with a ride start time for you from 8.00am
Parking is available nearby, some of which is free. This year we have additional free parking thanks to James Beck Auctions. This is at Olivet Way NR21 9TD and is three minute ride to registration.

Family and friends are welcome to wait at the Community Centre where there is food, fresh coffee etc. all day and entertainment in the afternoon; the town and river Wensum are a short walk away. You will be contacted in the run up to the ride with more information and registration details. You should report to the HQ (that’s what we call the Community Centre for the day) on arrival to collect your number, useful souvenir drawstring bag with branded Ride North Norfolk water bottle and other extras.
Accommodation and things going on in Fakenham: There are B&Bs, hotels, 2 campsites and 2 caravan sites. Fakenham is ten miles from the North Norfolk coast and Active Fakenham hosts a week of activities prior to the ride. There is plenty of parking, some of it free, and buses from Norwich, Kings Lynn and the Coast. Why not come for a longer break over the Bank Holiday weekend? You do NOT have to be a member of British Cycling to join the ride or to register online. We are working with British Cycling who are providing online entry systems and insurance, but you do not need to be a member. You will need to register with British Cycling as part of the online sign up process and for our insurance.

Join us for the Giant Duck Race Active Fakenham, in partnership the Fakenham and District Rotary Club, is thrilled to be putting on this event. Join us to watch these ducks. Why your business should join in We hope your business decides to support this community project. We will aim to make the event as much fun as possible and encourage participation and attendance. We will also help promote your duck (and therefore your business). Any money raised will go towards community events in Fakenham and a contribution is also being made to Fakenham First Focus. We will aim to do this by: • listing entries on our website • posting on social media (we do Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) • distributing press and media releases • the event will be photographed and filmed (tbc) and these will be available to you as well as shared on social media and websites - we will arrange a photo shoot at the Bridge in Goggs Mill Road at Goggs Mill Bridge prior to the event. This will go in the local paper. Winners prizes include 1. First Prize TBC 2. Its great to be back. Organisers of the 2024 Rid North Norfolk are looking forward to the popular non competitive cycle ride on Sunday 25 th August. This is a great opportunity for locals and visitors to get on a bike for a supported fun ride no matter their level of fitness. This popular community organised cycle event is back on Sunday the 25 th of August. The cycle ride is a supported non-competitive ride with the routes clearly marked, emergency back-up and feed stations around the routes. Organiser, Richard Crook said, “This year’s routes range through 15, 25, 36, 51, 64 (100km) and 102 miles. We are aware of the cost of living crisis, and we are proud that we have been able to maintain the low price of entry because we are a community ride. Rides start from just £4.
