Call for Artists - Fakenham Arts Festival

Fakenham, UK - April 28, 2025 - The Fakenham Arts Festival is excited to announce its call for artists for Fakenham’s first town-wide arts festival, scheduled to take place from 1st to 24th August 2025. This new and vibrant event aims to celebrate the diverse and dynamic art community in Fakenham and beyond, providing a platform for artists to showcase their talents and engage with the public.

The festival invites artists from all disciplines, including visual arts, sculpture, photography and more, to submit their proposals for participation. Whether you are an emerging artist or an established professional, the Fakenham Arts Festival offers a unique opportunity to exhibit and potentially market your work.


Submission Guidelines:

Artists should use the form on the Active Fakenham website. https://www.activefakenham.org.uk/new-fakenham-arts-festival-for-2025

Artists are encouraged to submit their proposals by May 31st, 2025.

Proposals should include a brief description of the work, artist statement, and any relevant images or videos.


Festival Highlights:

Local artists will be partnered with around fifty venues across the town and will be able to exhibit a piece or pieces of their artworks at the venue they are matched with.

A one-day exhibition in the Fakenham Community Centre on 24th August will feature around twenty-five artists

Workshops  - there will be a limited number of short workshops during the festival

Children’s art trail around the town with prizes

The Fakenham Arts Festival is committed to fostering creativity and cultural exchange, and we look forward to receiving diverse and innovative proposals from local artists. Join us in making this year's festival an unforgettable celebration of the arts.

With that in mind, this class will be a mix of movement, strength, and relaxation, all designed to leave people feeling energised and refreshed. Our cardboard raft race is a fun family event. We are looking for some exciting and colourful boats, so why not give it a go? You must pre-book for this event. It is run in partnership with Wensum Ospreys canoe club., you can learn more about them by clicking here . Free to enter We have limited spaces so please book early. Join us for the Giant Duck Race Active Fakenham, in partnership the Fakenham and District Rotary Club, is thrilled to be putting on this event. Join us to watch these ducks. Why your business should join in We hope your business decides to support this community project. We will aim to make the event as much fun as possible and encourage participation and attendance. We will also help promote your duck (and therefore your business). Any money raised will go towards community events in Fakenham and a contribution is also being made to Fakenham First Focus. We will aim to do this by: • listing entries on our website • posting on social media (we do Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) • distributing press and media releases • the event will be photographed and filmed (tbc) and these will be available to you as well as shared on social media and websites - we will arrange a photo shoot at the Bridge in Goggs Mill Road at Goggs Mill Bridge prior to the event. This will go in the local paper. Winners prizes include 1. First Prize TBC 2.
